CMMC Level 2 FastTrack

CMMC Level 2 FastTrack merges the core FastTrack curriculum with the Level 2 Expansion Pack into one certification-readiness programme. The core establishes the operating model - CUI flow-down, the enclave-vs-enterprise scoping decision, the System Security Plan, governance, identity, technical security domains, incident response, evidence strategy, DoD scoring, POA&Ms, SPRS and continuous compliance. The expansion completes the map: every remaining requirement at requirement level, the supply-chain obligations owed downstream, a CUI handling practicum for the workforce, the documentation architecture beneath the SSP, a compensating-control pattern for legacy and OT equipment, a full fourteen-month case study, a capability map for tooling, and forward guidance on NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 3.

Why It Matters ?

Certification is a revenue gate - for most CUI-bearing work there is no certification, no contract.
Scope decides the budget - the enclave-vs-enterprise decision is routinely the single highest-return choice in the whole programme (an 88% scope reduction in the course case study).
Evidence cannot be created retrospectively - controls that operated but were never recorded fail as surely as controls that never operated.
The affirmation carries legal weight - a named senior official signs it annually, with real exposure for a false affirmation.
INTENDED AUDIENCE

  • CISOs, virtual CISOs and CMMC programme leads owning scope, evidence, POA&Ms and sustainment
  • IT managers, infrastructure leads, security operations and cloud engineers building the fourteen domains
  • System administrators responsible for identity, segmentation, logging, encryption and backup
  • Internal auditors and GRC professionals running internal sampling and self-scoring ahead of a C3PAO engagement
  • Consultants and registered practitioners delivering readiness to clients
  • Executives, affirming officials, and contracts/procurement leads managing flow-down obligations

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  • Define the Level 2 boundary around CUI Assets, Security Protection Assets, Contractor Risk-Managed Assets and Specialized Assets, and choose enclave vs. enterprise scope defensibly
  • Build the core artifacts - asset inventory, CUI data flow, scope statement, SSP and shared-responsibility matrix
  • Implement and evidence all fourteen domains: access, identity, awareness, personnel, physical, risk and security assessment, configuration management, maintenance, audit, system integrity, media protection, and system/communications protection
  • Build an evidence index across all 110 requirements, self-score against the DoD Assessment Methodology, and manage a POA&M assessors respect
  • Prepare for and execute a Level 2 self-assessment or C3PAO certification, submit to SPRS, and support annual affirmation
  • Govern the supply chain, issue a CUI handling matrix to the workforce, and sustain the programme across a three-year cycle
